Les Délices Family Concert: What's an Oboe?

  • BOP STOP 2920 Detroit Ave Cleveland, OH, 44113 United States (map)

It's a rare thing to ever hear more than one or two oboes - let alone an ensemble made up entirely of double reeds in different shapes and sizes.  Presented in collaboration with The Music Settlement, Les Délices’ free Family Concert on Saturday October 25 at 4pm, “What’s an Oboe?,” will be a 45-minute interactive concert-presentation geared towards children aged 5-15 and their families.

This fun and colorful program features various baroque oboes, recorders, bassoon, baroque guitar, theorbo, and percussion, introducing Northeast Ohio audiences to the uniquely beautiful sounds of a baroque oboe band while exploring the rich relationships between music, ritual, time, and place.
