Collegium Musicum: Collegium Director, Case Western Reserve University, 2003-2005, 2007-present This instrumental and vocal ensemble presents two concerts per semester. Recent projects have included secular music of the Fourteenth-century Ars Nova, and Seventeenth-century Petits Motets, Binchois & his World, and Secular works by Johannes Ciconia, Im Kammer und Kappell: 17th Century North-German works for strings, brass, and voices, madrigals of Monteverdi, music from late-sixteenth century Antwerp, and Bach Cantatas. Future projects include dramatic cantatas of Handel, musical depictions of the Godess Fortuna, works by Machaut, and a portrait of fifteenth-century Ferrara.
Workshops: American Bach Soloists Academy In July 2010, the American Bach Soloists will inaugurate North America’s newest annual professional training program in Historically Informed Performance Practice. The American Bach Soloists’ ACADEMY will offer advanced conservatory-level students and emerging professionals unique opportunities to study and perform Baroque music in a multi-disciplinary learning environment. In addition to in-depth coachings and technical studies with masters of their particular instruments, string players, wind players, continuo and keyboard players, and singers will work together with all faculty members, gaining the perspectives of eminent and highly acclaimed professional artists from a variety of disciplines. I will be teaching baroque oboe during the Academy, July 5-18, 2010.
